AFFOGATO

(means ‘drowned’ in Italian!)

Put two scoops of rich vanilla ice cream in a coffee mug. Pour over the top one shot of hot espresso. You can add Grand Marnier or Amaretto too if you wish. Add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with shaved dark chocolate and finely chopped hazelnuts.
